I love valentines day! - not just because it is a holiday that involves chocolate and roses, and not just because it is my mom's birthday but also because I love all of the cute valentine shirts for little kids! So every year, as an excuse to buy my kids a cute valentines outfit - I take pictures of them all dressed in their holiday attire and then we make valentines (with their picture on it) and send it to close friends and relatives. I usually get my ideas or at least my inspiration from the february issue of Family Fun magazine. Still not sure exactly what we are doing this year for our valentine - but I still have a few more days to come up with something - stay tuned...

How is that title for non-committal? I have been reading everyone else's blogs, which I enjoy, I like to look at their pictures and to read about what is going on with their lives. I have to admit that I also read the blogs of complete strangers - I get creative ideas, yummy recipes, money saving tips, and sometimes just a sense of relief to see that there are others that experience the same things that I do (and often my "drama" pales in comparison). So despite the fact that I don't think I will have enough time to keep up with this blog, or the worry that I will actually make the time to keep up with it, but due to my OCD, I will obsess about every post being perfect or constantly feel the need to update my backgrounds and headers (still need to figure out how to do all of that) - and then either I will sacrifice my few precious hours of sleep I try to get at night, or like I am doing right now, shirk my overwhelming number of responsibilities that are screaming my name (no - not my kids, they are at preschool, but the dirty dishes in the kitchen sink and the leftover oatmeal that is hardening on the kitchen table, and the mounds of dirty laundry that I need to go buy more detergent so I can wash... you get the picture). Anyway, I hope to use this blog as a tool to capture the charming and hilarious things that happen throughout my day (which is is easy to miss in all the chaos) and then be able to share them with our family and friends - and for me to use as a reminder of why I do what I do (I need to be reminded often!). So stay tuned.... more to come (hopefully).
